dear alma,

the 2001 santa fe melodrama opened last week. this traditional spoof of life in santa fe, allows us to make satirical comments on all aspects of life here as we know it. of course, this year, your beautiful "virgin" was one of the biggest controversies and we have included it in our story.

i was the costume designer and replicated, to the best of my ability, 3 virgins. they come out in their green "capes" and when they open them and the audience sees the flowered  bikinis...they go wild.

the new mexican, our local newspaper, called this the "high point" of the show. thank you for the inspiration and i will forward photos to you.
